If there’s anything to say about drone photography and film, it’s that we have only scratched the surface on what’s possible. You have drones being used to create light shows at Superbowl half time shows, film the inside of a dam’s spillway drain, aid in search and rescue, the list goes on.
One of my favorite things to do is use them to capture performance art in a unique way. In autumn of 2017, I collaborated with a friend who does acrobatic pole dancing. We took a couple cameras, a free standing stage pole, and my drone into the prairie and did some filming. The results are both stunning and unique. I’m always looking for new ways to film performance art.
